Trail Reroute Done and Woods Cleared
Tommy set up a easy reroute and we are nearly finished with the weed eating in the woods. One more day with the weed eaters should finish the wooded sections. The first 2 miles has been expertly mowed 2x by Jeff and is a good ride. Signs of the stick tights are starting to pop - we'll need to hit it hard in the next couple of weeks. Go out and ride!!!!

We'd like to publish the Shutes Branch trails in a mtb book that we're working on, please contact me at 865-661-5438 so I can gather more info.
Thanks,

Jogged the trail Wed., though it would be to muddy but wasn't that bad. They have expanded the construction area for the pipeline so I moved some rocks and wacked some weeds to make it passable. Moved alot of branches from the storms. Wacked alot of weeds true the harder section. Trail should be in great shape for the weekend. Lets build some more trail!

On Fathers day, I finished the heavy duty weed-eating near the end of the trail. So, the entire wooded section has been upgraded to a very fun ride.
This past Tuesday, Charlie and I did an dusk/dark ride and the trail is in great shape. We had to remove a lot of dead fall that fell after Eric cleaned the trail. There are numerous dead trees along the first sections of the trail and will continue to be a hazard - so watch out.
They are finished with the pipeline and have started to clean up the area along the power-lines. It looks like most of this section is still in good shape and will be easy to get back as soon as they are finished. We'll probably try and set up some small jumps with the loose rocks and dirt to make this section a little different.
Go ride and enjoy - trail is rocking (literally).
Steve
